Lunchbreak Supervisors

Required as soon as possible, Lunchbreak Supervisors to join our friendly, supportive team, to work with a range of pupils who have severe learning difficulties. Hours of work will be 7½ per week, Monday to Friday, 12-1.30 pm, term time only. This post is physical in nature and may present emotional and physical demands not common in mainstream schools. Applicants must be supportive and be able to remain calm at all times and use their own initiative.

Site Manager

£20,661-£23,398

The Site Manager will be responsible for the security, safety, maintenance and facilities management of the school site at all times. Duties include (but may not be limited to):

  • As main key holder ensure security of the premises and respond to any emergency callouts.
  • Monitor alarm systems and fire safety equipment.
  • Implement the School’s Health and Safety Policy, including regular inspection of equipment.
  • Carry out maintenance duties, minor decoration works and minor repairs or organise for them to be completed by outside contractors.
  • To be responsible for management and administration of the lettings system.
  • To monitor the performance of contracts and liaise with contractors in relation to repair and maintenance services.
  • Operate and maintain the school’s heating system and swimming pool plant.

The Site Manager will be expected to work in a flexible way to meet the needs of the school. They will need to be able use initiative as well as follow instruction and be proactive.

Formal qualification requirements are not essential but NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification is desirable as are good numeracy and literacy skills. Handyperson skills and experience of caretaking or site-keeping in a school or similar environment are essential. The ability to establish good working relationships with the Head Teacher and other school staff are also essential.

The hours for the post will be 0800-1230 then 1500-1730 all year round.

‘The post holder will be subject to an enhanced Discloure and Barring Service check to satisfy child protection requirements. The post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and all convictions (including cautions, bind-overs or no case to answer) must be declared.’

‘The post holder has a responsibility to promote and safeguard the safety and welfare of children in accordance with the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies.’
