Following the latest guidelines given by the Government yesterday, if you or anyone in your household develops symptoms including a temperature and/or persistant cough, then you should stay at home for 14 days. At the moment, there is no directive to close schools, however we are constantly monitoring our pupil/staffing levels and regard the safety and welfare of everyone at school as our top priority. This page will be updated as and when any new information becomes available.

You will no doubt be aware that the Government have moved to the next stage in response to the coronavirus and its progress namely DELAY. With immediate effect the advice is that anyone with a new persistent cough or high temperature should self-isolate for seven days.
Public Health England has released guidance for those staying at home with confirmed or suspected cases of coronavirus. The advice states people should not to go to work, school, or public areas, use public transport or taxis – or even for a walk. Those with even mild symptoms of infection should stay at least two metres away from other people in their homes, and should sleep alone.
At school, we are carefully monitoring and following the advice given by Public Health England and will continue to keep you updated. We have taken steps to limit the spread of any possible infection by providing hand sanitiser at reception, regularly sanitising areas that are frequently touched by people coming into school such as the door press and front desk. We have also cancelled any non-essential planned visits to the school by external personnel.
We are asking staff and parents/carers to inform the school of any close family member who has returned from those areas affected abroad within the last month. We also remind everyone of the importance of regular hand washing and would be grateful that if you do come into school for any reason, you make use of the hand sanitiser kept on the reception front desk. Thank you.
We will, of course keep you updated with any further developments.
